Roxor Coffee Table
Roxor Wood is a combination of raw iron and gentle sculpted wood
The first impulse for the design of the coffee table was the necessity to replace a type product that was too costly and could not be seen materially. For the size and proportions, we were inspired by traditional Italian manufacturers, and for the choice of concrete reinforcements, we were inspired by this year's Milan fair, where steel elements of furniture were prevalent. We wanted to suggest a touch of the industrial for the interior, and after what we have designed on the construction of the curtain railings from the curry net, concrete reinforcement for the base of the tables was a clear choice. The palette of materials in the interior, in light shades of paint, sand-coloured flooring and coffee-coloured furnishings were contrasted by black details (light fittings, banisters). That's why the coffee table panels were stained in dark oak to dark palisander. The table panels are relatively thick, but with a digitally controlled cutter, it was possible to create thinner, cambered edges, so the table top looks quite light from most angles.
